Meet Our Founder

Tara Johnson, a Mathematics graduate and former Math Department Chair, understands the critical role of continuous learning and the impact it has on her students. As a single mother of three, she developed exceptional time management skills, prioritizing productivity in every area of her life. Over her years in education, Johnson identified a significant gap: the lack of a centralized credential management platform that connects school systems, employees, and agencies. This need became even more pressing with the increase in teachers entering Alternative Certification Programs (Alt Cert), as districts struggled to monitor and track program requirements effectively.

Having witnessed the last-minute scrambles for recertification, where educators and administrators raced to collect paperwork, coordinate with administrative teams, and navigate complex agency sites, Johnson was inspired to create a streamlined solution. Her vision and commitment led to the development of Solomon’s Certifications, a platform that automates manual tasks, consolidates credential activity records into a single system, and simplifies compliance with integrated real-time reporting and dashboards.
